Only two photographers were inside this church in Merseyside, England when this ghost picture was taken in 1999. Sefton Church has a long history dating back to the 12th century. So, it isn't that much a surprise that there would be a ghost or two hanging around. Neither photographer report seeing the ghost when their own eyes but when they took their pictures the ghost clearly showed up in the doorway of the church and making this ghost picture a very well known picture of modern times.

Even after all these years of looking at ghost pictures there is still the occasional ghost picture that gives us the chills and this is one of them. The woman in the picture was in her 90's when the picture was taken and had long since been a widow. Her daughter, who took the picture, reports that her mother was in the early stages of dementia and for the days prior had been talking out loud to her dead husband. When this picture was developed the daughter was amazed to see that there was a man standing behind her mother that she hadn't seen with her naked eye. What made the ghost picture all the more amazing that the man standing behind her mother was clearly the woman's late husband. To back up her claim the daughter provided black and white photographs of the couple in their younger years to show what her father looked like before he died. Clearly a very chilling ghost picture.

Staircases are a favorite for ghosts. The ghost activity in this ghost picture taken in the 1960's shows that this particular staircase in very busy with ghost traffic. Luckily, someone managed to capture this ghost picture and show us all this amazing sight.

Some years prior to this ghost picture being taken there had been a car accident at this location that left a man dead by the side of the road. When this ghost picture was taken in the early 1970's the photographer was amazed to see the ghostly image of a man floating above the area where the victim died.

This mother and her child were just out having a bit of fun on the swings and posing for a picture. Little did they know the the photos would end up showing the image of a ghost lurking in the background. The ghost picture shows that sometimes the ghost just want to stand by and watch and aren't always looking to interact with the living.

This picture was taken in the early 1980's when a family house was being built. When the picture was developed the ghostly image of a woman dressed in white was seen on the picture. As you can see, the workers don't notice here and neither did the photographer until she saw the developed picture. Maybe the bear in the ghost picture met its end on a hunting trip in this neck of the woods. Whatever the case it really wanted to make sure the trio knew who ruled the woods.
